Do you want to own your own custom weight lifting belt? Of course you do! We have redesigned our custom weight lifting belts having thought long and hard about what we want them to be. We have decided to go for the best in terms of materials.
You have two options for the belt material:
Nubuck Leather: a soft brown nubuck leather which is approx 2mm thick (to allow for embroidery), then subsequent layers are made from buffalo leather that is 4-5mm thick and then a layer of suede which is around 2mm (but compressible). Having a buffalo leather in the middle is significantly more expensive than many other weightlifting belts (you will often see thin layers of cardboard type material which is how some brands can sell cheap belts. We don’t do things like that, we want to give you a quality product that will last forever.
Cow Leather: A super soft leather with a textured appearance approx 2mm thick (again to allow for the embroidery needle to pass through), subsequently there is one layer of buffalo leather (4-5mm thick) and then a layer of suede (2mm thick). These belts then finish up around 8-9mm thick offering significant support but the freedom of movement that you get with a weightlifting belt due to the tapered sides. Available in a whole host of colours, white, red, black, yellow to name a few. Please get in touch if you’d like to check a colour is available.
We’ve also upgraded the buckle so that it is this thick gnarly excellence, as you can see in the picture, as well as going for fat 35mm wide belt loop.
Highly likely to increase your squat… Measure around your belly button to get an idea of size to order. You want to be in the middle, so if you’re 31 or 32″ best to go for medium! This is our best and most popular all round belt. You can WOD or lift in it without it getting in the way. It still offers substantial support for when you’re going for max Clean and Jerks or pull a bar full of plates on your deadlift PB.
ModiFit Custom Weight Lifting Belt – Sizing Information
The image below shows where you would sit on each of the belts. Each belt has 8 holes indicated by the red dots. For example, if your waist measures 31″ you would sit on approximately the 7th of 8 holes on a Small and the 4th of 8 holes on a medium. In this instance a medium would be a better fit. It is better to be near the bottom of a larger belt than near the top of the smaller belt, as you will have more of the end of the belt to hold onto when tightening and loosening the belt. Please measure around your waist / belly button where the belt will sit. Do not rely on your jeans size / waist size as this may be different.
