Do you want to own your own custom powerlifting belt? Of course you do! We have redesigned our custom weight lifting belts having thought long and hard about what we want them to be. We have decided to go for the best in terms of materials.

You have three LOADS OF options for the belt material:

Nubuck Leather: a soft brown nubuck leather outer which is approx 1.2mm thick (to allow for embroidery), then subsequent layers are made from buffalo leather and then a layer of suede. Having a buffalo leather in the middle is significantly more expensive than many other weightlifting belts (you will often see thin layers of cardboard type material which is how some brands can sell cheap belts. We don’t do things like that, we want to give you a quality product that will last forever.

Cow Leather: A super soft leather outer with a textured appearance approx 1.2mm thick (again to allow for the embroidery needle to pass through), subsequently there are layers of buffalo leather and then a layer of suede. Available in a tonne of colours (see below).

Suede Leather: A super soft suede outer approx 1.2mm thick, subsequently there are layers of buffalo leather and then a layer of suede. Available in a tonne of colours (see below)

You can choose either a single prong, double prong, quick release or Lever. You can choose to go for either 10mm or 13mm (+£6.99) thick belt. Please note if you request lever there will be a supplementary charge of £29.99 (inc VAT) for the stainless steel lever.

It helps if you can fill out as much information when ordering from the selection boxes, but the colour choices and design ideas are not set in stone, they’re just to give us an idea of what you want and saves us sending you an email asking questions which will delay the design process.

How To Order:

  1. Place order for belt
  2. We will contact you to find out what you would like on your belt. We will send a proof for you to agree. Once the proof has been agreed the order cannot be cancelled. You can obviously amend the design prior to agreeing to the proof.
  3. As the item is customized you cannot return for a refund if it doesn’t fit or you don’t like the design.
  4. We’ll let you know how long you’re going to have to wait once we confirm with our supplier.
  5. Designs can either be printed or embroidered.
  6. We can do custom sizes at no extra charge (we have done belts up to 61″ long).
  7. Please note you can choose from a different colour, standard is the Brown Nubuck leather, we can also do Cow and Buffalo leathers in white, yellow, red and black. You can ask us if you’ve got another colour in mind and we can check with the supplier.
  8. You can choose Single Prong, Double Prong, Quick Release or Lever (Stainless Steel – £29.99 supplementary charge).

ModiFit Powerlifting Belt – Sizing Information

The image below shows where you would sit on each of the belts. Each belt has 10 holes spaced over 9″, indicated by the red dots (the red dots indicate 7 holes so there’s an extra hole at top and bottom of measuring). For example, if your belly button measures 32″ you would sit on approximately the 7th of 8 holes on a Medium and the 3rd of 8 holes on a Large. In this instance a Large would be a better fit. It is better to be near the bottom of a larger belt than near the top of the smaller belt, as you will have more of the end of the belt to hold onto when tightening and loosening the belt. This is especially important on a powerlifting belt due to their thickness. Just to stress – we do not recommend buying a size where you are on either the first or last hole. If you are unsure of sizing please give us a call and we’ll be happy to help!

Please measure around your waist / belly button where the belt will sit. Do not rely on your jeans size / waist size as this may be different.

  • Small: 21″ – 28″ (Belt length 90cm)
  • Medium: 25″ – 32″ (Belt length 100cm)
  • Large: 29″ – 36″ (Belt length 110cm)
  • XL: 32.5″ – 39.5″ (Belt length 120cm)
  • 2XL: 34.5″ – 41.5″ (Belt length 125cm)
  • 3XL: 36.5″ – 43.5″ (Belt length 130cm)
  • 4XL: 38.5″ – 45.5″ (Belt length 135cm)
  • 5XL: 40.5″ – 47.5″ (Belt length 140cm)
  • 6XL: 42.5″ – 49.5″ (Belt length 145cm)
  • 7XL: 44.5″ – 51.5″ (Belt length 150cm)

If you’d like a custom length drop us a message and we will quote for you. Sometimes this might add around £10 to the cost.

Meets IPF Spec – Not IPF Approved

These are to IPF spec from Technical Rule Book 2014 (updated January 2014). Please note, these are heavy duty powerlifting belts that will be really stiff when you first get it. If you’ve used a decent powerlifting belt before you will know this and know it takes a bit of time for it to break in! Fortunately, as these are our Elite belts, the leather is already pretty soft, so break-in time will be minimal!

Belt is 4″ wide (10cm).

Segment from IPF Rule Book detailing belt dimensions:

Competitors may wear a belt. If worn, it shall be on the outside of the lifting suit.
Materials and Construction:
(a) The main body shall be made of leather, vinyl or other similar non-stretch material in one or more laminations which may be glued and / or stitched together.
(b) It shall not have additional padding, bracing or supports of any material either on the surface or concealed within the laminations of the belt.
(c) The buckle shall be attached at one end of the belt by means of studs and / or stitching.
(d) The belt may have a buckle with one or two prongs or “quick release” type (“quick release” referring to lever.)
(e) A tongue loop shall be attached close to the buckle by means of studs / or stitching.
(f) The name of the lifter, the lifter’s nation, state or club may appear on the outside of the belt.

1. Width of belt maximum 10 cm.
2. Thickness of belt maximum 13 mm along the main length.
3. Inside width of buckle maximum 11 cm.
4. Outside width of buckle maximum 13 cm.
5. Tongue loop maximum width 5 cm.
6. Distance between end of belt and far end of tongue loop maximum 25 cm.

There are 2 delivery options to UK residents:

-> Royal Mail 48 Tracked: 2 – 3 day tracked service that costs £3.95
-> Royal Mail 24 Tracked: 1 – 2 day tracked service that costs £4.95

We dispatch orders 2pm every day so if you order before this time on a week day your order will be dispatched that day. Please note neither of the three service is guaranteed in terms of time. Sometimes parcels get delayed which is out of our control, lost packages will of course be replaced or refunded, but we cannot refund carriage costs because of delays to deliveries. Please see our Terms and Conditions page for full info.

We offer free delivery on UK orders over £35. All orders are sent with Royal Mail on 48 Tracked and Signed service. Any order that weighs over 2kg will go with Yodel on a next working day service.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your order. It is important to us that you are delighted with your purchase but if for any reason you are not, and feel the need to send the item back, we offer a 35 DAY returns policy, starting from the date of  order. If you are not happy or you need to change something, the easiest thing to do is to email us so that we both have a record of it. The delivery slip will have information about returning for an exchange or refund on the back (a short form asking you to write 1-2 words in a box). We are happy to exchange any item for you at no extra charge for UK customers (you will need to cover postage of item sent back to us). Overseas customers will need to pay for postage of the replacement item. If an item is damaged or the wrong item was sent we will usually cover return postage.

For a refund you will need to return your order to us within 35 days of making your order (5 weeks). After this time you will no longer be eligible for a refund. We aim to process your refund the same week it arrives back with us. Items being returned for a refund will need to be returned in new condition and with the original packaging.

Our address for exchanges and refunds is:

Items are returned at your own cost. We would recommend UK customers sending 2nd class. Please note returning an order is at your cost so it is up to you to decide which service you opt for. If the item fails to arrive with us again that is for you to take up with Royal Mail. We are not responsible for lost returns. Please ensure that you do not return an item without a note inside with your name and order number, as we won’t be able to ascertain who the order is from without this.

If you qualified for free or reduced rate shipping and you part return your order your order will be recalculated to see if you still qualify for free shipping. If when returning an item your order is below the free / reduced rate shipping threshold, this will be deducted from your refund.

For example:

If you ordered a weightlifting belt at £29.99 and knee sleeves at £29.99 your order would come to £59.98. If you choose free shipping (Royal Mail 48 Tracked) and you returned the belt for a refund your order would be recalculated as: Knee Sleeves (£29.99) + Shipping (£3.95), as the knee sleeves are below the free shipping threshold. Your new order would be £33.94, so a refund of £59.98 – £33.94 would be issued (£26.04).

If you ordered on our 3 for 2 deal, or buy 1 get 2nd at 20% off and you part return your order your order will be recalculated as if it was a new order as above, with the refund being the difference between the original order and the new order.

We get a tonne of questions about our custom belts, so hopefully we can answer them all here. If something is not listed please get in touch with us.

How do I design my belt? I can’t see any place on the site to upload my design?

Due to the nature of designing a belt, we do it all on our computer in-house. Most of the websites where you can design your own t-shirt, belt, back pack, whatever, are really low quality. You get a few fonts, maybe you can upload a picture, you can move things around, but in reality you’re lucky if you can design something that is 100% what you’re after. We take care of all that by doing it ourselves on specialist design software. We will ask you after ordering what you’d like (or if you already have a design / logo that you’d like us to use). More detail on the belt ordering process can be seen below.

I want a custom length that’s not listed – how do I order this?

We have made belts to suit 23″ waists and belts to suit 60″ waists, so sizing isn’t an issue. If a size isn’t listed you can order any size and we will get the right belt for you. More details on this can be found below

OK, I’m ready to order a custom belt, what’s the process?

If you’re looking to order a belt, you’ll check the size chart and order the belt size you think is appropriate. Once the order is placed we will email you within 1-2 days to ask the following questions:

  • Waist size (so we can determine the belt is the correct size, or advise on what size would be best)
  • Outside colour
  • Outside material choice (leather, nubuck, suede for example)
  • Inside colour
  • Inside material
  • Stitching colour
  • Design idea (can be vague if you’re not sure – we will help where we can)
  • Any extra features (some designs can also be used on belt loops for example)
  • Buckle choice and thickness (Powerlifting belts only – 10mm or 13mm and choice of Single Prong, Double Prong, Quick Release or Lever)

Once we’ve got the info we will come up with some designs for you. If you’re happy with the design we will proceed. If you’re not happy then you can suggest alterations. If for some reason you’re still not happy you can cancel the order. Once the design is agreed you cannot cancel the order.
